Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in CS, IS, SE, Data Engineering, CE, or related discipline.
7+ years in software development, database engineering, full-stack, or cloud engineering for enterprise environments.
15 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
Proficient in Python, SQL, Spark, REST APIs, and microservices architectures.
Hands-on Databricks experience (Workflows, Delta Lake, Structured Streaming, SQL Warehouses, Unity Catalog).
Experience with PostgreSQL, Aurora, DynamoDB.
Experience developing and supporting AWS cloud solutions.
CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, automated testing, deployment automation.
Agile software development experience.
Experience supporting AI/ML/MLOps/agentic AI initiatives.
Strong knowledge of software architecture, database design, app integration, and cloud security.
U.S. Citizen; ability to obtain DHS/clearance as needed.
Databricks and AWS certifications.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, deploy, and maintain cloud-native software applications, APIs, data services, and enterprise solutions.
Serve as senior technical lead for software and database development for cloud modernization and AI-enabled delivery.
Architect apps using microservices, serverless, and containerized deployments.
Develop secure REST APIs and integrations across enterprise systems.
Implement and optimize AWS solutions (Lambda, S3, IAM, KMS, CloudWatch, Glue, ECS, EKS, Step Functions).
Collaborate with product owners, architects, developers, and DHS stakeholders on requirements and designs.
Support Agile activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and demonstrations.
Develop secure software per Zero Trust and secure SDLC practices.
Perform validation testing and optimize databases and storage.

Design, develop, deploy, and maintain cloud-native software applications, APIs, data services, and enterprise solutions supporting CISA mission requirements
Serve as senior technical lead for software and database development supporting cloud modernization and AI-enabled service delivery
Architect applications using cloud-native design patterns, microservices, serverless computing, and containerized deployments
Design, build, and maintain scalable Databricks solutions using Delta Lake, Workflows, Structured Streaming, SQL Warehouses, and Unity Catalog
Develop and optimize enterprise data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, analytics, machine learning, and reporting
Design and maintain relational and NoSQL database solutions
Develop secure REST APIs, web services, and application integrations
Implement and optimize AWS solutions using Lambda, S3, IAM, KMS, CloudWatch, Glue, ECS, EKS, and Step Functions
Integrate AI, machine learning, and agentic AI capabilities into enterprise applications and data platforms

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
Seven (7) or more years of experience in software development, database engineering, full-stack development, or cloud engineering supporting enterprise environments
Fifteen (15) years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
Demonstrated experience with Python, SQL, Spark, REST APIs, and microservices architectures
Hands‑on experience with Databricks environments, including Workflows, Delta Lake, Structured Streaming, SQL Warehouses, and Unity Catalog
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Aurora, and DynamoDB
Experience developing and supporting AWS cloud solutions and services
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git‑based development workflows, automated testing, and deployment automation
Experience with application modernization, system integration, and secure software development
Experience in Agile software development environments
Experience supporting AI, machine learning, MLOps, AI engineering, or agentic AI initiatives
Strong knowledge of software architecture, database design, application integration, and cloud security best practices
U.S. Citizen
Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Suitability determination, Public Trust, Secret, or higher security clearance as required by the contract
At least one Databricks certification
At least one AWS certification
