Ford Pro Intelligence is seeking a Principal Engineer/Architect to lead the technical vision for data-intensive SaaS platforms, APIs, and frontends. You will drive architectural decisions, design scalable systems, and mentor engineers across teams.

You will shape product strategy with leadership, translate complex requirements into robust designs, and guide multi-quarter initiatives while ensuring reliability and performance in a high-scale environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12+ years of software engineering experience with leadership/architectural roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years designing scalable, data-intensive web apps and SaaS products.
• 5+ years API development with Java/Kotlin and modern frontend frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Architect and drive the technical roadmap for large-scale SaaS applications.
• Mentor and coach engineers to foster technical excellence.
• Collaborate with Product/Design/Leadership to translate requirements into scalable architecture.
• Scope, estimate, and plan multi-quarter enterprise initiatives.
• Lead hands-on development of critical architectural components and deployments.
• Advance engineering standards with new tooling, patterns, and processes.
• Lead RCA and proactive problem management for incidents.
