Job summary

Torch Technologies is hiring a Cloud & DevSecOps Engineer to automate and secure Azure environments. You will code infrastructure, implement automated hardening, and build secure CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps. Based out of Suffolk, VA or Huntsville, AL, the role requires DoD clearance and experience with AKS, SIEM, and vulnerability tooling.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of progressive engineering experience (or 3+ years with a Master’s).
• Active Secret DoD clearance.
• Minimum 2+ years writing and maintaining production Terraform configurations or Azure Bicep/ARM templates.
• Hands-on experience developing Ansible playbooks for OS configuration, deployment, or hardening.
• Minimum 2+ years managing Azure virtual networks, VMs, and storage accounts.
• Current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification.
• Strong problem-solving and collaborative communication.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and maintain production‑grade IaC using Terraform, Azure Bicep, and Ansible.
• Implement automated OS hardening playbooks for RHEL and Windows Server VMs.
• Construct secure CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps with vulnerability scans and IaC policy checks.
• Deploy and manage container workloads with AKS and Azure Container Registry.
• Automate monitoring agents, log forwarders, and security telemetry to SIEM.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field

Current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification
