Job summary

Southwest Airlines is hiring a Tech Lead Cloud DevOps Engineer in Dallas, Texas, to design and deploy enterprise cloud infrastructure and automation. You will lead architecture decisions, drive CI/CD processes, and champion best practices across teams in a hybrid work setup.

You will collaborate with leaders to shape cloud strategy, evaluate services, and implement scalable, resilient platforms with Kubernetes, VPC, Lambdas, API Gateway, and IaC tooling.

Qualifications

• 6 years developing application software for complex business applications.
• 6 years developing cloud microservices and back-end services.
• 6 years developing front-end applications using React, Java, Python, and Node.js.
• 4 years building AWS Cloud Infrastructure as a Service, including Kubernetes, VPC, Lambdas and API Gateway.
• 4 years infrastructure-as-code with Terraform.
• 4 years containerized solutions with Docker and Podman.
• 2 years leading development teams using these technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and build enterprise cloud infrastructure automation and CI/CD patterns.
• Shape and evolve the cloud platform vision and strategy.
• Lead architecture and governance for cloud ecosystem and compliance.
• Implement automation tools and frameworks for code deployment and SDLC.
• Collaborate with devs to deploy and manage tools supporting SDLC automation.
• Ensure high quality, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
