Team and Role Description:

The Core cloud platform team is responsible for defining, building, and administering the core infrastructure within Banner Health Cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) to support a multi-cloud system. Our mission is to enable a secure, innovative cloud platform that provides consistency, flexibility, observability, and reliability, empowering product teams to develop and scale healthcare technologies for an improved Banner Health experience.

We seek a Cloud/DevOps Engineer II with experience in cloud configuration, cloud service enablement, Terraform, and container lifecycle management products such as AKS, EKS, and Docker. This position can be remote if you reside in specific states listed in the original description. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm AZ Time.

Position Summary:

The DevOps Engineer will analyze, design, configure, implement, and support PaaS solutions, working closely with IT, product owners, and vendors. Responsibilities include resolving application and configuration issues, performance analysis, implementing changes, and ensuring service improvements. The role involves maintaining high availability, security, and performance of mission-critical applications, automating support processes, and integrating new systems into existing monitoring tools.

Core Functions:
  1. Perform standard assignments and expand knowledge within the role.
  2. Identify and solve problems within straightforward situations, analyzing solutions using established procedures.
  3. Respond to non-standard requests, investigating issues with assistance as needed.
  4. Make decisions within guidelines impacting priorities and deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience with strong understanding of the full IT lifecycle and infrastructure services.
  • Experience designing scalable solutions, working in Agile and DevOps environments, and strong programming and cloud skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cloud certifications such as AZ-103, AZ-203, AZ-300.
  • 3-4 years of enterprise cloud solutions experience.
  • Knowledge of Java/C++/C#/.Net Core and hardware environments.
