Universal Background Screening is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure with a strong emphasis on security and observability. You will automate deployments, support containerized workloads, and partner with engineering and QA to improve reliability and delivery velocity.

The role requires AWS expertise, IaC proficiency, and a DevSecOps mindset to strengthen our platform across multiple environments.

Formación

• 3+ years of hands-on DevOps or platform engineering experience.
• Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/ECS).
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
• Foundational understanding of information security principles and network security.
• Familiarity with secrets management, certificate lifecycle management, and access control.
• Experience with logging and observability platforms (CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk).

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting continuous delivery across environments.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS (or Azure), including compute, networking, storage, and managed services.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, patching, and monitoring with tools like Ansible or similar.
• Support containerized workloads using Docker and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes or ECS).
• Monitor system health, set up alerting, and participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to improve build reliability, deployment frequency, and resilience.
• Apply security best practices across cloud environments including IAM, least-privilege access, and secrets management.
• Assist with vulnerability scanning, patch management, and remediation tracking.
• Integrate security tooling into CI/CD pipelines as part of a DevSecOps approach.
