Job summary

Beyond Finance in Chicago is seeking a DevOps Engineer to help maintain and improve our cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on AWS services and scalable architectures. You will participate in building and running automated delivery pipelines and infrastructure as code.

The role requires 2+ years in DevOps or SRE, experience with Terraform/OpenTofu, Helm, Spacelift, CircleCI, and container tech (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes).

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE role.
• Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform/OpenTofu, Helm.
• A solid DevOps/SDLC mindset with willingness to own projects.
• Experience with AWS and core services (ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (AWS CodePipeline, Spacelift, CircleCI).
• Containerization with Docker, ECS, Kubernetes; good debugging/monitoring.
• A track record of following through on tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

• Support and help maintain our cloud infrastructure, focusing on AWS services.
• Help implement and maintain Continuous Delivery pipelines.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with engineering to support application performance and scalability.
• Follow security best practices across our cloud environment.
• Contribute to a high-quality codebase with code reviews and documentation.
