Job summary
Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Boston seeks a Director of IT - Cloud and Developer Operations to lead EOED's cloud and DevOps modernization, aligning with enterprise standards and security requirements.
You will partner with the SCIO, EOTSS, and agency leaders to develop strategic IT roadmaps, govern enterprise standards, and drive secure, scalable delivery of business applications across EOED offices. The role requires strong leadership, public-sector experience, and strategic vision.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, DevOps, and modern delivery practices.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS/Azure) and enterprise applications.
- Ability to develop technology roadmaps, governance, and standards.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management.
- Experience with vendor management, procurement, and contracts.
Responsibilities
- Lead EOED's cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and enterprise technology services.
- Develop and execute EOED's IT Strategic Plan and roadmaps.
- Oversee IT operations, end-user computing, networks, and major initiatives.
- Build and lead high-performing technical teams and partnerships.
- Advance cloud, DevOps, and modern software delivery practices.
- Lead continuity and resilience planning across the organization.
