Advanced Space is seeking a Cloud and DevOps Engineer to architect, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for space missions. Qualifications

• 5–8 years of relevant professional experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, systems administration, network administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years in systems, network, or cloud administration roles.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and deploying AWS-based DevOps solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Strong experience with AWS (IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, Systems Manager).
• Expert Linux administration.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
• Strong experience with Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or GitHub, GitLab preferred.
• Deep knowledge of containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Experience administering MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or Neo4j.
• Observability and monitoring with CloudWatch, Elasticsearch; strong Git proficiency.
• Understanding of DevSecOps principles and cloud security practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect cloud and DevOps solutions that are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
• Gather requirements and select modern toolsets based on security, cost, and support.
• Own automation and CI/CD infrastructure; design IaC using Terraform.
• Design and maintain AWS environments and Kubernetes deployments with YAML/Helm.
• Develop automation with Python and Bash for operating infrastructure and workflows.
• Implement secure AWS environments with IAM, SCPs, and permission sets.
• Troubleshoot complex issues; improve observability and reliability with CloudWatch, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Prometheus.
• Support HPC and ML workloads within the infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers across teams.
