Job summary

Mbi Llc in Richmond, VA is seeking a senior software engineer with cloud expertise to work on web and Windows applications used by ELECT staff and Commonwealth constituents. You will design Cloud Services, participate in SOA integrations, and lead analysis, design and coding for new applications.

The role requires mentoring others, managing complex work, and collaborating with Business Analysts and Architects. Maintenance, enhancements, and cloud-provider engagements are expected.

Qualifications

• You will be working with our more established contractors and staff to focus on several web and Windows applications used both by internal ELECT staff and constituents of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• The candidate will need expertise as a programmer and designer for Cloud Services.
• Experience implementing and developing applications to interface with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and other offerings from the major Cloud Service Providers required.
• Responsible for analysis, design, and coding for a new application.
• Individual must be able to work without assistance, provide leadership for others, and manage highly complex work efforts.
• Extensive industry experience is required with advanced education highly desirable.
• Will be involved in maintenance, enhancement and development work.
• The candidate will need a range of skills and knowledge of the technologies used and applications supported by the Application Team.
• Works with the Business Analyst, Application Architect and other Application Development Team members on an as-needed basis to ensure that design and code meet customer requirements.
• May also need to work with SaaS and Cloud service providers.
