Job description

Essential Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure (modernization, migration, roadmaps) ensuring adherence to best practices and governance.
• Build reusable modules (Helm Charts, Terraform) and enforce development standards for Infrastructure as Code.
• Provide Java and React development experience.
• Continuously monitor infrastructure health and performance using logging and alerting, identifying issues and implementing solutions for improved efficiency.
• Develop strategies for failure/recovery (backup, high availability), cost optimization (tagging, budgets, rightsizing, autoscaling), and benefit analysis of cloud services.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system capabilities and efficiency.
• Contribute to deliverables such as architectures, runbooks, and operational procedures, and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to current systems.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven progressive responsibility and experience with provisioning, configuring, and managing cloud infrastructure and services (compute, storage, networking, IAM).
• Experience designing and implementing secure, scalable cloud architectures.
• Experience developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, etc.
• Knowledge of container and platform workloads (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS/AKS/GKE).
• Experience configuring monitoring, logging, and alerting using CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, etc., and responding to incidents.
• Experience implementing and testing backup, disaster recovery, and high‑availability strategies.
• Experience managing secrets and key management with KMS/KeyVault/Secret Manager, certificates, and rotation policies.
• Experience optimizing cloud cost and performance (tagging, budgets, rightsizing, autoscaling) and producing usage/cost reports.
• Experience troubleshooting cloud infrastructure issues in networking (DNS, routing, VPN), security, and service limits.
• Experience documenting architectures, runbooks, and operational procedures.

Clearance and Education

Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/FSP.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline (or equivalent experience).

Minimum Years of Experience: Fourteen (14) years as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Compensation

$215,000 - $238,000 (good‑faith estimate; actual may vary).
