DTS is looking for an IoT Cloud Developer for a client position. In this senior-level role, you will design, develop, and support scalable cloud-native solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS), with a focus on serverless, event-driven, and IoT-based architectures. You will help connect device data with backend services and build reliable systems that meet performance, security, and operational requirements.
This is a hands-on engineering opportunity for someone who enjoys turning complex requirements into maintainable solutions. You will work closely with technical teams and clients, contribute directly to implementation, and help guide and mentor Associate Cloud Engineers. Success in this role requires technical depth, sound problem-solving, clear communication, and a collaborative approach to delivery.
Candidates should bring senior-level experience designing, developing, and supporting cloud solutions on AWS, including a strong understanding of scalable and highly available architectures. Practical experience with AWS IoT Core and integrating connected-device data with backend services is important. You should have experience building serverless applications with AWS Lambda and TypeScript, as well as designing DynamoDB data models for high-throughput workloads. Relevant experience with event-driven services and data workflows is also expected, including Kinesis, SNS, S3, AWS Glue, Athena, and QuickSight. Familiarity with AWS Fargate and containerized services, including services written in Golang, is valuable. You should be comfortable monitoring distributed systems, investigating incidents, improving reliability and cost efficiency, and applying AWS security best practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to provide technical guidance are essential.
Design, build, and support AWS cloud-native solutions that meet scalability, reliability, performance, and security expectations. Contribute to AWS IoT Core architectures and implement integrations that move device data into backend systems. Develop and maintain serverless applications using AWS Lambda and TypeScript, and create DynamoDB data models suited to event-driven, high-throughput workloads. Implement and maintain event-driven solutions using Kinesis streams, SNS topics, and S3. Support data ingestion, transformation, and analytics workflows with AWS Glue, Athena, and QuickSight. Evaluate and contribute to AWS Fargate solutions for longer-running or stateful services, including applications written in Golang. Monitor production systems, identify opportunities to optimize performance and cost, and implement improvements. Investigate incidents across distributed systems, identify root causes, and document resolutions and engineering best practices. Maintain security controls aligned with AWS guidance to protect infrastructure and data. Provide technical direction and mentorship to Associate Cloud Engineers, collaborate with delivery teams, and explain technical decisions clearly to client and internal stakeholders.
This role offers the opportunity to work on modern AWS, IoT, serverless, and analytics solutions while contributing across the full delivery lifecycle. You will collaborate with experienced engineering and client teams, develop your technical leadership skills, and help shape dependable systems with real-world applications.
