Job summary

Avalore is seeking a Cloud Design Engineer, Level 3, to lead configuration management for development and operations. You will create and maintain CM baselines across development, test and production, and recommend automated CM tools.

The role involves implementing CM plans, policies, and procedures, supporting life cycle CM, performing change control and audits, and coordinating with development teams and government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Eight years experience as a CM in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline is required.
• A Master’s degree may substitute for two years of experience, thereby reducing the total years of experience to six.
• Four years of additional CM experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• If assigned to a developmental program, one year of experience using a source code control system is required.
• Clearance: Active TS/SCI with an appropriate/current polygraph is required to be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing hardware and software version control processes and procedures.
• Assist in the use of configuration management tools (e.g. DOORS, Eclipse) to store, track, and manage configuration items.
• Understand basic concepts, document hardware and software CM processes and procedures.
• Maintain the CM environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing and integration.
• Develop CM processes and ensure they are followed on CM development projects
• Serve as an advisor to (or non-voting member of) Government Change Control Board (CCB)
• Manage, maintain and develop the CM environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing and integration
