Job summary

Google Inc. in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Revenue Recognition Manager for cloud deals who will own complex ASC 606 accounting and partner with global finance teams to enable compliant revenue reporting and scalable processes.

You will lead end-to-end accounting for high-value cloud deals, reconcile balance sheets and P&L, and provide robust financial analysis for internal and external reports while collaborating with cross-functional partners to drive accurate and timely results.

Qualifications

• GAAP knowledge with emphasis on ASC 606
• 10+ years of accounting or related experience
• Experience in GAAP for revenue in a multinational setting

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
• 10 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 8 years with with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
  
• Experience in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), with a focus on Revenue (ASC 606) Accounting in a public accounting or multinational company setting.

Preferred qualifications:

• Professional experience in tech-industry business recognition with strong technical accounting skills, including a deep understanding of US GAAP.
• Demonstrated collaborative style with the ability to partner effectively across, international teams and global business functions.
• Ability to work separately, demonstrate initiative, own projects end-to-end, and lead others (direct or indirect) to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Problem-solving and organizational skills with attention to detail, continuous process improvement, and the ability to proactively anticipate and remove roadblocks.
• Excellent communication skills with a proven track record of effectively engaging and aligning with executive management and cross-functional business partners.
