Job summary

Career Now Brands is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to build and evolve a cloud data platform powering analytics, automation, and AI initiatives. You’ll design ELT/ETL pipelines, model data in Snowflake, and drive CI/CD with Terraform and serverless components.

Collaborate with engineering teams to expose data through services, improve observability and data quality, and prepare trusted datasets for analytics and AI use cases. Hybrid/remote, ETZ hours in Royal Oak.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Data/Platform Engineering or related roles.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on with dbt, Airflow, AWS Lambda, Terraform, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable ELT/ETL pipelines from APIs, SaaS, databases, and streams.
• Build data models and data products in Snowflake for performance and cost.
• Develop AWS Lambda functions and event-driven workflows.
• Create lightweight internal apps and automation tools.
• Collaborate to expose data via services and applications.
• Implement CI/CD and manage IaC with Terraform or similar.
• Improve observability, monitoring, and automation.
• Ensure data quality and platform reliability.
• Prepare trusted datasets for analytics and AI use cases.
• Support internal AI and automation initiatives.
