Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Data Platform Architect to lead the modernization of the enterprise data ecosystem in Jersey City, onsite. You will define target-state architecture and oversee large-scale migrations to cloud-based analytics, working with Spark, Kafka, Databricks, and AWS services.

You will collaborate across engineering, infrastructure, and business teams, establish governance standards, optimize performance and costs, and provide mentorship to engineering squads driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 10+ years in data platform architecture or related fields.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale cloud migration with hundreds of TBs or more.
• Experience migrating from Vertica, Hadoop, Teradata, Oracle, Snowflake, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, security, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Define target-state architecture for enterprise data platforms and cloud-native analytics.
• Lead migration of large-scale data environments to cloud.
• Design scalable, secure data architectures for petabyte-scale workloads.
• Establish governance, standards, and engineering best practices.
• Provide leadership for Spark, Kafka, Databricks, and cloud-native services.
• Drive performance, cost management, and operations.
