Job summary

Geode Capital Management, LLC seeks a Data Engineer to design and build scalable data solutions in a cloud-native platform. The role reports to the Director of Data Engineering and requires strong collaboration with operations teams, data analysts, and stakeholders.

Based in our Boston office, the role follows an in-office attendance policy on Tue–Thu with an option to work remotely on Mon and Fri. The candidate should have 5+ years in data engineering and a BS in CS or a related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 5+ years of data and software engineering experience with a focus on development, implementation, and maintenance of datapipelines.
• Strong skills in data modeling, database design, and SQL development.
• ETL/ELT development skills using DBT and Python.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in the Asset management industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build modern data pipelines to ingest, process and store enterprise data.
• Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of data pipelines using Python, DBT, Airflow, Snowflake and AWS.
• Continuously enhance data pipelines through automation, unit testing and higher test coverage and quality.
• Collaborate with the Data product lead, Scrum Masters, architects and development teams to build data ingestion and integration pipelines.
