Job summary

Lithia & Driveway is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines across cloud platforms. The role focuses on ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Snowflake to support enterprise reporting and analytics.

You will migrate on-prem SQL Server solutions to Azure-based environments, implement monitoring and CI/CD practices, and collaborate with data architects and cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and accessibility.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics.
• Strong SQL expertise with complex joins and performance tuning.
• Experience designing/building data pipelines in cloud environments (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, ADLS).
• Hands-on Snowflake experience for data loading and transformations.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data ingestion and transformation processes into Snowflake and downstream platforms.
• Migrate on-prem SQL Server data processes to Azure-based solutions for performance and scalability.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and related tools.
• Develop and optimize SQL scripts, stored procedures, and data pipelines for accuracy and efficiency.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and self-healing capabilities to resolve data pipeline issues.
