Job summary

InnovAge Holding Corp. is seeking a Database Engineer II to lead development, testing and production deployment of cloud-based data products.

You will design data models, build data pipelines, and collaborate with DBA and Production Services to monitor and optimize performance. The role requires a BS in CS or related field, 3 years in data management and 5+ years in hands-on data engineering, with fluency in SQL, Snowflake, and Azure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of data management experience with data integration.
• 5+ years hands-on data engineering in developer roles.
• Fluent SQL and data warehouse/ELT development experience.
• Familiar with Snowflake DWaaS and cloud migrations.
• Experience building data pipelines on Azure following best practices.
• Ability to debug complex data issues with very large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Designs and creates moderately complex data models and data products.
• Tests designed applications utilizing database management software.
• Gathers system metrics to identify and resolve problems; implements performance enhancements.
• Mentors junior Database Engineers and collaborates with DBA and Production Services.
• Evaluates new technologies and develops proposals for new IT services and pilots.
