Job summary

540.co LLC is seeking a Data Engineer II/III for remote work across the continental United States. The role focuses on building scalable data pipelines and cloud-native solutions to modernize and support Army finance data ecosystems.

You will work with Python-based workflows, AWS Glue/Lambda/S3, and data governance practices, while ensuring security and reliability. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in data engineering, strong Python skills, and experience with AWS data services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; preferred.
• 2+ years in data engineering or related field.
• Experience building Python-based data transformations and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot data pipelines across the SDLC.
• Develop Python-based workflows to ingest, transform, and deliver data.
• Build cloud-native data solutions using AWS services (Glue, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch).
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to translate requirements into software.
• Implement tests, logging, monitoring, and error handling for data quality.
