Job summary

GCS Recruitment Specialists is seeking an Infrastructure Capacity Planning Engineer to help plan, analyze, and optimize private cloud infrastructure across a large data center environment in New Jersey.

You will build forecasting models, automate capacity planning processes, and collaborate with compute, storage, and network teams. You will also support procurement, budgeting, and capacity optimization initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of relevant experience in capacity planning or infrastructure engineering.
• Background in infrastructure engineering, capacity planning, cloud infrastructure, or infrastructure analytics.
• Experience with cloud/private cloud technologies.
• Understanding of compute, virtualization, storage, and networking.
• Experience with forecasting, modeling, utilization analysis, or resource planning.
• Experience automating technical processes or developing planning tools.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with application and infrastructure teams to understand future capacity requirements.
• Build forecasting models for long-term infrastructure growth.
• Develop automated tools to improve capacity planning and analysis.
• Measure performance and utilization across deployed compute and storage resources.
• Analyze capacity trends and identify potential risks.
• Recommend infrastructure scaling and optimization strategies.
• Validate procurement requirements and support budgeting.
