Job summary

CapTech is seeking a Data Architect to translate business challenges into advanced data solutions. The role focuses on end-to-end data architecture, including ingestion, storage, modeling, and governance across on-premises and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will guide data strategy, oversee data integration and quality initiatives, and collaborate with clients to maximize data value and enable analytics-driven decisions. On-site and remote work options may be available per project needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience implementing with on-premises and cloud data management, integration, visualization, and analytics technologies.
• Advanced proficiency in end-to-end data architecture solutions including ingestion, storage and relational modeling with SQL and Python.
• Experience with modern data architectures including cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP), real-time data distribution (Kafka/Kinesis/DataFlow/Airflow) and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with data governance practices including MDM, security, privacy and policies.
• Ability to relate architectural decisions to business needs and client culture.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and advocating data management technologies and practices to target future state.
• Improve data integration, quality, and delivery in support of business initiatives and roadmaps.
• Articulate architectural trade-offs and ensure technical requirements are met.
• Develop staff through teaching and mentorship in technical and consulting skills.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders and development staff to maximize data value across the organization.
• Drive innovative solutions through thought leadership on emerging trends.
• Share project solutions to improve delivery on future projects.
• Partner with CapTech business development to demonstrate capabilities and estimate work plans.
