Innovative Solutions in the United States seeks a Data/AI Architect to design and build data-driven cloud architectures on AWS, from S3 data lakes to RAG-powered AI systems.

You will own the full data stack across industries, delivering Redshift medallion architectures, Glue ETL pipelines, and BI-ready models with OpenSearch, Bedrock, and SageMaker. The role emphasizes leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT experience with cloud architectures.
• 2+ years AWS cloud experience.
• AWS Professional-level certification preferred.
• Python for data pipelines and PySpark for Glue Spark jobs.
• SQL and NoSQL on AWS with performance tuning.
• Data modeling and medallion architecture on data platforms.
• Experience designing data warehouses (Redshift/Snowflake/Databricks).
• ETL design with Glue, Data Catalog, and Parquet output.
• Knowledge of BI tools integration (QuickSight/PowerBI).
• Experience with Bedrock/AI pipelines and MLOps.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AWS data lakes with partitioning and encryption.
• Implement medallion architecture for data warehouses across platforms.
• Develop Glue ETL pipelines with incremental extraction and optimized output.
• Design star/snowflake schemas for BI consumption.
• Configure data warehouses with Redshift, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Create RAG systems using Bedrock Knowledge Base and OpenSearch.
• Architect document AI pipelines using Textract and Comprehend.
• Develop SageMaker ML pipelines for training, registry, and inference.
• Lead data discovery sessions and present recommendations to stakeholders.
• Mentor team members on data architecture patterns and AWS services.
