DataVanguard Systems is seeking a Cloud Cost Optimization & FinOps Architect to lead cost efficiency across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will partner with engineering, finance, and DevOps to set financial management standards, build real-time cost dashboards, and drive governance for cost-aware architectures without sacrificing performance.

You will evaluate reserved instances, savings plans, and auto-scaling configurations while implementing governance models to ensure product teams optimize spend

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• FinOps certification or cloud architect certification preferred.

Job Description

The Cloud Cost Optimization & FinOps Architect is responsible for managing, analyzing, and driving efficiency across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineering, finance, and DevOps teams to establish cloud financial management standards, build real-time cost visibility dashboards, and eliminate waste. You will evaluate reserved instances, savings plans, and auto-scaling configurations while establishing governance models to ensure product teams build cost-efficient architectures without sacrificing performance or stability.

Key Skills

• Multi-cloud spending analytics (AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• FinOps frameworks and unit-economics modeling
• Container cost allocation (Kubernetes, OpenCost)
• Scripting for automated resource tagging and cleanups (Python, Bash)

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Certified FinOps Practitioner (FICP) or AWS/Azure Solutions Architect certification highly preferred
