Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Tier-3 Infrastructure Engineer in West Columbia, SC to support servers and virtualized environments. You will lead planning and engineering of enterprise infrastructure and mentor junior IT staff, while addressing escalated issues and guiding IS projects.

Qualifications include 7+ years of systems engineering experience, strong Windows server background, VMware and Citrix virtualization know‑how, and solid AD management skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in systems engineering/infrastructure
• Experience can be substituted with a Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience
• Proven experience supporting Windows-based servers
• Deep understanding of virtualization technologies and best-practices including VMware and Citrix environments
• Extensive knowledge of highly available (HA) and fault tolerant (FT) systems
• Knowledge of server administration concepts, practices, and procedures
• Outstanding hardware/software troubleshooting skills
• Enterprise support experience in a large environment
• Experience designing, managing, and supporting Microsoft Active Directory domains

Responsibilities

Provides guidance and training to less experienced IT professionals. Responds to calls escalated by IS support teams. Serves as a technical lead in IS projects. Leads the planning, design and engineering of enterprise-level infrastructure and platforms related to the virtual computing environment. Troubleshoots/replaces broken systems as appropriate. Requirements
