Job summary

Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure team is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead a fast-growing Compute Control Plane group in Nashville. You will guide architecture, delivery, and operational excellence for metering and power management features, shaping roadmaps and delivering high-quality, automated services.

You will mentor engineers, foster a culture of engineering rigor, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to align priorities with OCI strategy and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Leadership of a software engineering organization with strong people management.
• Hands-on software development background in cloud compute systems.
• Experience delivering on strategic and operational roadmaps for technical teams.
• Strong communication with cross-functional partners and leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering; advanced PM certs are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing engineering organization.
• Oversee architecture, development, debugging, and enhancements; drive improvements and delivery quality.
• Define technology roadmap and operational strategies for compute metering and power management.
• Build and maintain on-call and post-mortem processes to improve availability.
• Communicate outcomes to leadership and stakeholders.
• Lead hiring plans and nurture talent within the team.
