Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Architect - Cloud Compute to lead architecture and design for Compute SDLC. You will collaborate with engineering to build reliable, scalable software delivery processes and define long-term platform strategies across our public cloud infrastructure.

You will guide SDLC maturity, drive automation, and ensure alignment with governance and security standards while coordinating cross-functional teams globally.

Qualifications

• 12 years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading the architectural design of SDLC processes, CI/CD pipelines, and software-defined automation.
• Familiar with Kubernetes and cloud-native container ecosystems.
• Strong communication to bridge technical gaps across global teams and drive consensus.
• Experience coordinating large-scale software patching, deployment operations, and system compliance.
• Understanding evaluation frameworks for SDLC maturity and platform integration.

Responsibilities

• Create and refine system-wide SDLC processes to enhance scalability and deployment visibility.
• Coordinate design of integration points for versioning and global deployment operations.
• Provide technical guidance on design patterns and long-term platform strategies.
• Architect solutions for shared SDLC workflows and conduct system reviews across Compute infrastructure.
• Assess SDLC maturity and infrastructure of potential acquisitions.
• Define metrics to ensure monitoring, patching, and compliance standards.
