Job summary

Hilltop Holdings is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support DevOps practices for efficient software delivery and reliable system operations in Dallas, TX. Responsibilities include building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, tooling with Azure DevOps, Terraform, and container orchestration with Docker/Kubernetes.

The role requires 2–4 years of Azure DevOps experience, cloud platform familiarity, and scripting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• 2–4 years of experience with Azure DevOps.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Experience supporting Axway SFTP or secure file transfer platforms preferred.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, ARM, Bicep).
• Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration abilities.
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and implementation of DevOps solutions.
• Build, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines across environments using Azure DevOps.
• Implement and support infrastructure provisioning with Terraform/Ansible equivalents (Azure, ARM/Bicep).
• Manage and support containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Support Windows/Linux systems used by DevOps platforms and tooling.
• Monitor and troubleshoot system performance and reliability.
• Assist with observability (logging, monitoring, alerting).
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps into the software lifecycle.
• Follow security best practices in deployments and infrastructure.
• Document processes and configurations.
• Participate in architecture discussions and incident reviews.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Generate reports and metrics on health and deployment performance.
