Backblaze External Website is seeking a Cluster & Systems Capacity Engineer to lead capacity planning and forecasting on our global cloud storage platform. You will ensure our storage clusters and compute systems scale efficiently and reliably to meet demand.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cloud Operations with a focus on capacity modeling and performance analysis, in addition to excellent communication skills. This role comes with a competitive salary and perks including healthcare and flexible vacation.

Qualifications

• 3-6+ years of experience in Cloud Operations or similar role.
• Familiarity with large-scale distributed systems.
• Ability to quantify ideas in financial frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain capacity demand and hardware forecasts.
• Build predictive models for infrastructure requirements.
• Monitor and optimize cluster utilization and performance.
