Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Bioinformatics Scientist to design and maintain cloud-based infrastructures for genomic data analysis from our MRD assays. You will work with cross‑functional teams to integrate pipelines with LIMS and ensure secure, compliant operations in clinical diagnostics.

The role emphasizes Python/Nextflow development, cloud-native design (AWS), and collaboration with clinical laboratories in the US and Europe, with a potential annual bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Background in software or infrastructure engineering with bioinformatics experience.
• Proficiency with bioinformatics pipeline workflow management (Nextflow preferred).
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native infrastructure (AWS) for storage, batch computing and serverless apps.

Responsibilities

• Develop & maintain cloud infrastructure for scalable genomic data analysis.
• Implement and optimize Python and Nextflow bioinformatics workflows.
• Integrate bioinformatics pipelines with LIMS to streamline data processing.
• Ensure IT security and privacy controls aligned with corporate policies.
• Apply software engineering best practices for scalable pipelines.
• Develop and manage databases and apps for QC and assay monitoring.
• Document and validate bioinformatics systems per regulatory quality standards.
