Job summary

OpenTalent in Port Reading, New Jersey, is seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and secure scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, OpenStack, and Azure. You will drive CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with development teams to accelerate software delivery across Linux, Windows, and UNIX.

The ideal candidate has strong scripting experience, hands-on with Docker/Kubernetes, and expertise in IAM, firewalls, and cloud security best practices.

Qualifications

• Bash, PowerShell, Python, Perl, Groovy, Go, C#, C++, Shell scripting for automation tasks.
• CI/CD and version control (Git) proficiency essential for automated software delivery and collaboration.
• Experience with cloud platforms and open infrastructures (AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenStack).
• Experience with configuration management and build tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef; Maven, Gradle).
• Strong knowledge of databases (MySQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle) and RESTful APIs.
• Networking basics (TCP/IP) and DNS; familiarity with VMware and Linux/Unix/Windows Server environments.
• Security focus including IAM, firewalls, and cloud security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, OpenStack, and Azure.
• Automate deployment processes utilizing tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform, and PowerShell scripts.
• Manage containerization systems including Docker and Kubernetes to facilitate microservices architecture and ensure high availability.
• Monitor system performance with tools like New Relic, Splunk, Elasticsearch, and IT monitoring tools to proactively identify issues and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery.
• Troubleshoot software deployment issues and perform system testing to guarantee reliability across Linux, UNIX, Windows Server environments.
• Maintain security protocols by configuring firewalls, managing IAM, and implementing cloud security best practices.
