Job summary

DigiTran Technologies Inc. is seeking a senior Cloud Architect to design and govern cloud solutions across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS in a Microservices/SOA framework. You will define standards, roadmaps, and risk-mitigated architectures while aligning with enterprise security and cost controls.

You’ll lead cloud adoption, train teams, and coordinate with vendors to ensure consistent architectures. Expect travel and a mix of Raleigh/Eagan work sites with a 8–5 weekday schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree + 13 years IT experience or 17 years IT experience without a degree
• Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and scaling solutions on Google Cloud
• Ability to integrate GCP with SaaS and on-premise platforms (Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, SAP, Linux, etc.)
• Knowledge of AI trends, applied to modernize and accelerate software delivery (Agile, TDD, CI/CD) and enterprise IT standards
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure: networking, compute, storage, virtualization, high availability, and monitoring

Responsibilities

• Design & Architect cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) aligned with a Microservices/SOA framework; produce implementation-ready docs including BOM and cost estimates
• Define standards: publish cloud policies, design patterns, and reference architectures
• Lead cloud adoption: build roadmaps and communicate cloud strategies to stakeholders
• Document solutions: prepare solution descriptions, technical approach, assumptions, risk assessments, and mitigation plans
• Govern architecture: ensure compliance with enterprise tech standards, security requirements, and best practices
• Enable teams: identify skill gaps, develop training materials, and provide guidance to engineers and management
• Manage vendors: interface with vendors to ensure standard architectures are followed across projects
• AI integration: leverage AI to accelerate on-prem-to-GCP migration and automate systems, apps, workflows
• Automate & integrate: automate complex tasks and integrate cloud services with on-premise and third-party platforms
• Troubleshoot: act as IT SWAT for high-priority problem resolution across design, development, operations
• Communicate: translate complex concepts for technical teams and executives; produce briefings and architecture diagrams

About the Role

Location: Raleigh / Eagan / Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am – 5 pm Additional Requirements: Some travel may be required to support program needs.

Responsibilities

• Design & Architect — Build cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) aligned with a Microservices/SOA framework; produce implementation-ready documentation including bill of materials and cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience designing, deploying, and scaling solutions on Google Cloud.
• Ability to integrate GCP with SaaS and on‑premise platforms (Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, SAP, Linux, etc.).
• Current knowledge of AI and Industry trends, applied to modernize and accelerate software delivery practices (Agile, TDD, CI/CD) and enterprise IT standards.
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure: networking, compute, storage, virtualization, high availability, and monitoring.

Required Skills

• Scripting/automation proficiency: Python, Shell, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, or similar.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and Kafka deployment in production environments.
• Proficiency in Generative AI and prompt engineering.
• Knowledge of IT compliance frameworks (SOX, PCI) in cloud environments.
• Experience with ITSM/ticketing system integrations and workflow processes.
• Familiarity with monitoring‑as‑code practices and version control systems.
