Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc. seeks an experienced Cloud Architect (AWS) to lead cloud-native modernization and solution design for an automated modeling platform on AWS.

You will craft scalable model execution environments, data integration and Ignite orchestrations with infrastructure as code. You will guide end-to-end architecture decisions, collaborate with clients and partner teams, and mentor junior consultants in cloud-native patterns.

You will design scalable execution, orchestration, and data integration with infrastructure as code, partnering with clients to deliver production-ready outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution architecture decisions for the modernization workstream
• Design cloud-based model execution environments on Amazon EC2 with orchestration frameworks
• Implement parallel execution using AWS Batch with EC2 Auto Scaling Groups for concurrent runs
• Build automated workflow orchestration with AWS Step Functions for triggering and scenario generation
• Design data integration pipelines from an Amazon Redshift gold layer into ISV simulation software
• Develop integration interfaces and APIs to connect simulation tooling with the data platform
• Establish performance measurement and optimization frameworks for model execution
• Modernize legacy modeling workflows to use cloud-native scaling and automation
• Align integration requirements with client technical leads and partner teams through clear technical documentation
• Mentor associate and staff consultants on modernization patterns and cloud-native integration practices

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in AWS-based solution architecture and application modernization
• Architecture ownership experience making end-to-end design decisions and guiding production delivery
• Client-facing collaboration skills to align requirements with client technical leads and partner teams
• Strong AWS cloud skills across compute, orchestration, and analytics services
• Infrastructure as code skills to manage repeatable cloud environments
• Strong problem-solving skills to optimize performance and reliability of model execution
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2)
• Nice to have AWS CloudFormation skills for infrastructure as code
• AWS Cloud Development Kit skills for programmatic infrastructure definition
• Amazon EventBridge skills for event-driven integrations
