We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Platform Architect to help drive the design, development, and maintenance of robust, scalable data platforms in Azure. This role is central to optimizing data delivery, supporting enterprise-wide initiatives, and ensuring architectural alignment with business goals. You will play a key role in platform governance, performance optimization, and enabling modern data solutions by leveraging technologies such as Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and maintain cloud-based data platform solutions using Azure technologies.
• Drive adoption of tools such as Azure Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI.
• Perform architectural assessments, define technical solutions, and produce detailed design documentation.
• Establish and enforce data platform governance practices.
• Collaborate with enterprise architecture teams to ensure architectural alignment and secure necessary approvals.
• Define best practices for system configurations, integration patterns, and platform features to support business needs.
• Create and maintain platform standards for efficient Azure service usage and ETL/ELT design patterns.
• Mentor engineering and data science teams on Azure usage, monitoring/logging, and security implementation.
• Provide technical support for platform performance tuning and optimization.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps and long-term platform strategies.
• Participate in PoCs and evaluations of emerging technologies to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Work with information security teams to ensure secure architecture practices, including identity management, access control, and data encryption.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and secure platform solutions.
• Define and implement monitoring frameworks to ensure high availability and proactive incident resolution.
• Lead automation of deployments using CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Azure DevOps).

Required Skills & Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in designing and architecting cloud-based data and analytics platforms, particularly with Azure.
• Strong expertise in Databricks and Snowflake architecture and implementation.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse, SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, and other core Azure data services.
• Familiarity with Power BI platform integration and usage in enterprise environments.
• Deep understanding of relational databases, data lakes, data warehouse modeling, and big data technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to design solutions that scale for large data volumes and complex processing needs.
• Proficient in Python, PySpark, SQL, and T-SQL.
• Strong understanding of compliance and security standards such as RBAC, GDPR, PCI, and data encryption.

Soft Skills:

• Strong business acumen and ability to align technical solutions with strategic goals.
• Experience mentoring technical teams on cloud platforms and best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• Agile mindset with adaptability and continuous learning approach.

Other Requirements:

• Experience working within agile methodologies.
• Proficient with Git for version control.
• Fluent in English (project communication conducted in English).

Nice to Have:

• Certifications in Snowflake and Databricks.
• Experience managing Apache Airflow.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub and Azure DevOps.
• Experience working with JIRA and Confluence.
