Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Cloud Architect for a Fortune 500 client in the United States. The role is based in Charlotte, NC or Cincinnati, OH and pays 75–80 per hour on W2.

You will design, implement and optimize the overall infrastructure, from on‑prem to cloud, ensuring SLA, DR and security requirements are met. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in network engineering, 2+ years with Azure or GCP, and hands-on experience with interconnects and security tooling.

Responsibilities

• Adopt cloud service provider standards and interconnect technologies.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across virtualization, containers, and microservices.

Our Fortune 500 client is seeking a Cloud Architect to join their enterprise networking team. This person will be accountable for the overall systems infrastructure including engineering, implementation and integration, and technical services and support.

What’s the Job?

• Design and implement overall infrastructure project components with infrastructure teams, ensuring that overall solution is designed to meet SLA, DR, monitoring, security and scalability needs required by the solution
• Ensure that post-production operational processes/deliverables are well designed and implemented prior to the project moving into the solution support phase
• Generate scripts and templates required for the automatic provisioning of resources, on prem, cloud and distributed
• Discover, install and execute processes and standards for optimal use of cloud service provider offerings
• Debug technical issues inside a complex stack involving virtualization, containers and microservices

What’s Needed?

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in network engineering and IT infrastructure, and at least 2 years of experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Demonstrated experience of core network engineering & network security methodologies, concepts and tools, including Azure & GCP VPC & Network Security concepts, Palo Alto and/or Checkpoint, SIEM Integration, etc.
• Experience with core cloud network interconnect technologies, including Azure ExpressRoute or GCP Interconnect, Equinix Cloud Exchange Services, and BGP.
• Experience with Infrastructure as code concepts (ideally Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Relevant Cloud and/or Network industry certifications considered a plus
