Job summary

Intel Corporation in the United States (California, Folsom) is seeking a Cloud Application Software Development Engineer to design, build, and deploy cloud-native applications and microservices. The role focuses on scalable APIs, backend services, and enforcing security across cloud environments.

Required are US citizenship, ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance, and a STEM degree with 2+ years building Azure-based cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical / Computer Engineering, Math or in a STEM related field of study.
• 2+ years of direct experience in building cloud solutions on Azure.
• 1+ years of experience in architect, design, develop, and implementing cloud solutions.
• Experience with Azure database services (Azure SQL Database, Azure Database for MySQL/PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB).
• Experience in Web Services, micro-Services development, Data Architecture or Container technologies (Kubernetes, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test cloud-native applications and microservices.
• Build scalable APIs and backend services
• Ensure security best practices across cloud environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
• Create and execute manual and automated test plans/suites
