Job summary

Honda is seeking a Cloud Applications Engineer to translate complex business requirements into functional SaaS capabilities. You will develop, configure, test, and maintain backend systems across contract management, sustainability, corporate security, and records management.

The role requires a 4-year degree in a STEM field and at least 5 years of software development experience, including API integration, API configuration, and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related STEM field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with SaaS development and configuration.
• Experience with APIs for data extraction and system integration.

Job Purpose

Cloud Applications Engineer will be an experienced SaaS toolset practitioner.The position is responsible for developing complex business requirements into needed business functionality, along with maintaining, and testing backend systems within the department.This role will gain end to end knowledge of the system ecosystem, helping to support day to day activities, and will focus a few systems in the contract management, sustainability, corporate security and records management areas as needed.

Key Accountabilities

• Will be responsible for developing (configuring), maintaining and testing assigned systems. This includes becoming very familiar with the customers business needs and priorities. It also includes getting a complete understanding of the internal and external interfaces to be able to support the day-to-day operation of the applications.
• Also gain an in-depth knowledge of the new technology being deployed in the unit.Achieve the goals for your area of responsibility: Support the business objectives to deliver value by providing quality IT products and services to Honda business:

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Minimum educational qualifications :

Must have a 4 year college-level Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Technology or a related STEM field of study.

Minimum work experience :

5 years’ experience with general software development methodologies, as well as those specific to SaaS Cloud toolsets and platforms including:Hands-on experience with SaaS configuration of technical and functional settings.Ability to effectively manage SaaS global attributes, master data, and admin tasksExperience with coding and configuring of APIs for data extraction and integrationFamiliarity with middleware frameworks for connecting systems (SAP, Laserfiche, Salesforce, others)Understanding procurement, risk management, and compliance workflowsAbility to configure features to enforce compliance and mitigate risksExperience working in Agile teams, using tools like Jira or Azure DevOpsStrong technical and listening skillsGood analytical skills along with communication and interpersonal skills, presentation skills.Ability to manage time and diverse activities under deadlines while delivering quality results, on time, on budgetSHould be custom and innovation-focusedBe tenacious and curiousBe a continuous learner

Workstyle

This is an onsite job. One remote workday per week may be possible with prior departmental approval.
