Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing, maintaining, and monitoring complex AWS environments.
• Strong Kubernetes experience supporting containerized applications and microservices.
• Experience building and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and automated provisioning.
• Understanding of version control, repository structures, and branching strategies.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and monitor enterprise AWS environments supporting application deployments.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, latency issues, and system degradation to support availability.
• Design and manage Kubernetes deployments for distributed applications and microservices.
• Develop deployment strategies that reduce downtime and improve release workflows.
• Build, automate, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines, including automated testing and IaC provisioning.
• Partner with development teams to define branching, merging, repository, and release strategies.
• Address security vulnerabilities within AWS-hosted applications and infrastructure.
• Apply cloud security practices across IAM, config, and deployments.
• Evaluate architecture to reduce manual work and improve cloud operations.

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a hands-on Cloud Platform Architect to manage application architecture, deployment strategies, performance, security, and operational reliability across large-scale AWS environments. This role connects application development and cloud operations, with a focus on Kubernetes deployments, CI/CD automation, and secure cloud architecture. The ideal candidate combines strong AWS expertise with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and improve how applications are deployed and maintained.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and monitor enterprise AWS environments supporting application deployments
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, latency issues, and system degradation to support application availability and responsiveness
• Design and manage Kubernetes deployments for distributed applications and microservices
• Develop deployment strategies that reduce downtime and improve release workflows
• Build, automate, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines, including automated testing and infrastructure provisioning
• Partner with development teams to define branching, merging, repository, and release strategies
• Identify and address security vulnerabilities within AWS-hosted applications and infrastructure
• Apply cloud security practices across identity and access management, infrastructure configuration, and application deployments
• Evaluate application and infrastructure architecture to reduce manual work and improve cloud operations

Required Skills

• Extensive hands-on experience designing, maintaining, and monitoring complex AWS environments and application architecture
• Strong Kubernetes experience supporting containerized applications and microservices
• Experience building and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with infrastructure automation, automated provisioning, and testing integrations
• Advanced knowledge of version control, repository structures, and branching and merging strategies supporting multiple development teams
• Strong understanding of AWS security, identity and access management, compliance patterns, and secure deployment practices
• Ability to diagnose and resolve application performance issues, network latency, and infrastructure bottlenecks
• Background in DevOps or Cloud Operations with hands-on ownership of application deployments and operational reliability

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $50.00 and $80.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
