Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. is seeking a Security Architect to lead our security strategy and hands-on design across cloud, identity, data, and applications. You will partner with product, engineering, IT, risk, and compliance to embed security into solutions from the start and balance risk with business agility.

The role requires deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and the ability to translate complex risks into actionable guidance for stakeholders at all levels. Remote or hybrid in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years in information security, with 3+ years in security architecture or senior role.
• 3+ years hands-on cloud security experience.
• Experience with enterprise and cloud security architecture.
• Knowledge of PCI, SOC, and SOX compliance.
• Experience with scripting, automation, and AI-enabled security technologies.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, product, IT, risk, and compliance teams.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Shape security architecture strategy with enterprise principles, standards, and reference designs.
• Translate security objectives and regulatory requirements into architecture requirements for tech teams.
• Embed secure-by-design practices with product, engineering, and operations teams.
• Provide architectural leadership across cloud, application, identity, data, and third-party tech.
• Review designs to identify risks, tradeoffs, and mitigation strategies.
• Guide teams in threat modeling, IAM, data protection, logging, and resilience.
• Define security architecture for cloud-native, hybrid, and enterprise platforms.
• Establish scalable patterns for cloud adoption, IaC, containers, APIs, and integrations.
• Evaluate posture and threats; propose improvements or new capabilities.
• Assess technologies and vendors for alignment with strategy and needs.
• Design sustainable controls meeting regulatory and audit expectations.
• Act as trusted advisor to tech, product, risk, compliance, and leadership.
