Job summary

CACI is seeking a skilled Linux administrator to join our IT team. You will support workstation and server environments, manage cloud-in-a-box infrastructure (Nutanix), and deploy hardware with strong troubleshooting skills.

Ideal candidates have DoD 8570 IAT II (Security+ or CISSP) or willingness to obtain, plus a CS/IT degree and ~7 years of Linux admin experience. Experience with Puppet, IPA, and AWS is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or willingness to obtain within 1–2 months.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• +/- 7 years of Linux server/desktop administration and network troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and methodologies.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Workstation and Server support: Local Linux Desktop support; Cloud-in-a-box infra (Nutanix); hardware deployments/troubleshooting.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain cloud-based resources (AWS); IPA; Puppet; Documentation.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Linux admin to work with our dynamic team of IT professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud environments, an understanding of cloud services, and a strong Linux command line understanding. Looking for candidates with some variety of the skills listed below.

Responsibilities:

• Workstation and Server support:
  • Local Linux Desktop support
  • Support local and remote "Cloud-in-a-box" infrastructure (Nutanix)
  • Comfortable with hardware deployments and troubleshooting
• Cloud Infrastructure Management:
  • Manage and Maintain cloud-based resources (AWS)
  • IPA
  • Puppet
  • Documentation
• Network support:
  • Support troubleshooting efforts for our cloud base network infrastructure
  • Support/troubleshoot local network issues
