Job summary

Brady Corporation is seeking an exceptional Architect - Cloud & AI Platforms to architect, build, and support our cloud and artificial intelligence infrastructure. This hands-on role will drive our multi-cloud strategy, primarily on GCP and Vertex AI with significant Azure integration, serving global manufacturing operations.

You will lead IaC adoption, implement secure, scalable cloud environments, and mentor teams while partnering with security, data science, and software engineering to deploy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in IT infrastructure, software development, or systems engineering.
• 3+ years designing and deploying complex cloud architecture.
• Hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform services (Compute Engine, GKE, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Cloud IAM).
• Proficient in Microsoft Azure services (Azure VMs, AKS, Azure SQL, Blob Storage).
• Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE, AKS).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and scripting (Python, Bash, Go).
• Knowledge of multi-cloud networking (VPNs, routing, firewalls).
• Excellent communication; explain tech to non-tech.
• GCP Certified – Professional Cloud Architect (Highly Preferred); Azure Solutions Architect Expert (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Establish IaC standards and secure multi-cloud GCP baseline.
• Architect, deploy, and operationalize enterprise AI capabilities (Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI).
• Design and maintain scalable cloud environments (GCP primary, Azure support).
• Document architectures and review deployments for standards.
• Develop zero-downtime migration strategies to GCP.
• Champion IaC tooling (Terraform, Ansible, Deployment Manager, ARM).
• Ensure security/compliance (SOC2, GDPR).
• Develop AI governance and MLOps practices.
• Design unified IAM across GCP and Azure (Entra ID).
• Monitor usage and implement FinOps for cost optimization.
• Serve as technical liaison and mentor teams.
