Job summary

Orion Innovation seeks a Cloud/AI Developer to design, build and maintain Java-based, cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform. You will implement secure, scalable image-processing workflows, expose RESTful APIs, and collaborate with DevOps, QA, Product and security teams to deliver reliable, compliant software.

The role emphasizes CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), observability, and AI-enabled capabilities such as OCR, classification, and similarity search in production

Qualifications

• Proven experience building backend services and APIs in Java with Spring/Spring Boot.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform.
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs with secure auth and versioning.
• Build image processing pipelines: capture, ingest, transform, store, index, and lifecycle management.
• Incorporate AI capabilities for classification, OCR, redaction, and similarity search in cloud workflows.
• Ensure security, IAM controls, encryption, auditing, and compliance in cloud apps.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code for repeatable deployments.
• Implement observability: logging, metrics, tracing, alerts, and runbooks.
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, Product, and security stakeholders throughout delivery.
