Job summary

Shoreline Learning Center is seeking an energetic team member to support after-school care for children. You will provide a safe, nurturing environment, actively supervise groups, and plan engaging, age-appropriate activities.

The ideal candidate is flexible, responsible, and enjoys working with children of different ages. Must have a high school diploma or GED, pass background checks, and communicate well with families and staff.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age.
• Able to pass criminal and name-based background check.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience working with young children.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, nurturing environment for children during extended care hours.
• Actively supervise children at all times and follow health and safety procedures.
• Plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities, games, and experiences.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
• Assist with classroom transitions and end-of-day routines.
• Communicate professionally and positively with families during pick-up.
• Maintain clean, organized, and inviting classroom and play spaces.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and administrative staff.
• Follow Texas Rising Star standards and Texas Child Care Regulation requirements.
