Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk in Ohio to deliver friendly customer service, share product knowledge, and contribute to a clean, well-run store in our Fresh departments.

You will build connections with customers, help locate items, maintain displays, stock and rotate merchandise, follow safety procedures, and use technology to complete tasks efficiently. This role offers weekly pay and growth opportunities within a family-focused company.

Hiring Immediately at no less than $14.50/hour. Starting rate is based on experience and the Union Pay Scale.

Required Scheduling Availability: Days are flexible, but you must be available on our 3 busiest sales days (F, S, S) and you must be available to be scheduled until 10:00pm.

Responsible for delivering remarkable customer service by providing customers with exceptional product knowledge, efficient service and a friendly attitude; will be exposed to a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service and merchandising.

What You'll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and wellrun store experience within our Fresh departments.

You’ll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates

• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need

• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays

• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards

• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures

• Work across departments including Grocery, Dairy & Frozen.

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
