Job summary

World Business Lenders, LLC is seeking an experienced loan closing coordinator for a fully remote contract role in the United States. You will review files, coordinate with Processing, Title and Underwriting, and prepare documents for signing and funding.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in lending or real estate closings, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication. This position requires independent, proactive work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a related field is required.
• At least 5 years in lending, mortgage, or real estate closing.
• Experience reviewing/preparing closing documents and funding packages.

Responsibilities

• Close and fund loans by verifying documents and data integrity in the origination system.
• Coordinate with Production, Title and Underwriting to ensure smooth closings.
• Prepare and verify loan documents and mortgage for execution.
• Schedule notary appointments for mortgage execution.
• Prepare funding packages for disbursement.
• Ensure timely closings and validate all documents for investor readiness.
• Obtain required underwriting conditions and update closing files.
• Exchange funding documents with Title after signing and completion.
• Maintain documentation for investor review and audit readiness.
• Handle additional projects and duties as assigned.

World Business Lenders provides general-purpose, short-term, real estate-collateralized commercial loans to small and medium-sized businesses throughout the United States that may not have access to traditional sources of funding.

• WBL is a U.S.-based company with a 100% remote workforce.

• This is a remote Contract/Consultant position. Standard working hours are generally 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. Additional hours may occasionally be required based on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate and complete closing and funding of loans by reviewing files received from Processing for proper completion and accuracy (e.g., that necessary documents are in the file for closing) and ensuring data integrity within the loan origination system.
• Liaise and maintain an open line of communication with various departments, including Production, Title and Underwriting.
• Prepare/verify loan documents and mortgage to be executed by the borrower in order to fund.
• Schedule notary appointments for mortgage execution.
• Prepare funding packages.
• Ensure that all loans are closed in a timely manner and that documentation is valid and accurate.
• Obtain required documentation from the Underwriting department to satisfy conditions for closing that were part of the approval process.
• Exchange funding documents with Title company once the loan file is closed and all necessary documents are signed and completed.
• Ensure that all documents needed for the investor are included in the closing file.
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, Real Estate, or a related area.

Required Experience:

• At least 5 years of valuable experience in lending, mortgage, or real estate closing environments.
• Direct, hands-on expertise with collateral documentation and terminology for both purchase and refinance transactions, spanning commercial and residential sectors.
• Demonstrated skill in reviewing and preparing closing documents, disclosures, funding packages, and wire instructions with precision and efficiency.

Preferred Background / Industry Experience:

• Experience in real estate lending, mortgage banking, or title/escrow operations that drives success.
• Deep understanding of loan documentation, lien verification, and ensuring strict closing compliance.
• Well-versed in managing closing processes for commercial transactions and expertly coordinating with brokers.
