Job summary

Spencer's in New Jersey is seeking a CLO Technical Designer to bridge the creative and technical teams. You will oversee the design process in CLO for apparel and accessories, mentor users, and help designers move between Illustrator and CLO.

The role emphasizes reducing physical sampling, expanding the CLO library, and collaborating with overseas factories. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in technical design, 3+ years using CLO daily, and strong communication in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete design process for apparel and accessories in CLO
• Collaborate and influence cross-functional partners to meet 3D needs throughout product development and key lifecycle milestones
• Troubleshoot for designers and tech designers who are learning CLO, acting as a trainer to help them transition between design programs like Illustrator and CLO
• Minimize physical sampling using CLO software
• Make necessary pattern adjustments within CLO as well as apply textures, prints, stitches, and trims
• Communicate with overseas factories to share CLO files and patterns
• Facilitate the growth of the block library of pre-sewn garments in standard silhouettes
• Manage the virtual fabric library for use in the 3D sampling process

The CLO Technical Designer will be instrumental in creating intricate styles within CLO, providing mentorship and support to design and tech design users who are mastering the tool. Your role will bridge the gap between the technical and creative aspects of the CLO 3D Design tool.

The pay range reflects the potential base salary range for this role. Individual base pay is determined by various factors such as relevant experience and skills, and the scopeand responsibilities of the position.
