Job summary

Decatur Morgan Hospital is seeking an Information Systems professional to help develop, implement and maintain the EMR system, and to test and configure portal and point-of-care with Physician Offices. You will work under the Director of Information Systems and collaborate with the Director of Nursing, CIO, physicians and managers to ensure reliable clinical IT services.

Qualifications

• Requires general knowledge from a four-year college education or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years experience in a directly related Information System role desirable.
• Previous healthcare setting experience highly desirable.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously.
• Use independent learning and technical information to solve problems.

Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Director of Information Systems, works with Director of Nursing, CIO, Physicians, department managers and staff to develop, implement, train, maintain EMR, as well as, implement, test, configure portal and POC with Physician Offices.

Responsibilities

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:

• Computer software, software design and development, hardware, equipment assembly and installation;
• Installing, operating, adapting, diagnosing and repairing malfunctions in application software;

• Handle multiple duties simultaneously;
• Use common sense, independent learning, and technical information to solve problems.

Qualifications

Education:

Requires general knowledge acquired through a four-year college education or equivalent experience.

Experience:

One to two years experience in a directly related Information System role desirable. Previous experience in assigned business lines and/or healthcare setting highly desirable.
