Job summary

Healing Circle Counseling and Services LLC in Virginia seeks a Licensed Clinician to join our Parham/West End and Mechanicsville locations. You will provide outpatient counseling to individuals, couples and families, with a focus on client care and collaborative teamwork.

Must be Virginia-licensed with a Master’s in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology, and proficient with EMR/EHR systems. Flexible work-from-home options are available.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Virginia with a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology.
• Proficient use of EMR/EHR systems and strong written communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient counseling to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families; individual or group formats; experience with couples preferred.
• Refer clients to additional services and community resources when clinically indicated.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation following guidelines and compliance standards.
• Attend monthly case consultations and team meetings; participate in trainings as needed.
• Complete CEU requirements as required by the Board of Social Work; ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Organize time effectively to meet work obligations and maintain client records.

Description:

The Licensed Clinician must be a self-motivated team player who is willing to help Healing Circle Counseling expand and grow their practice. A licensed clinician should be highly organized, detail-oriented and have excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong aptitude for client care. The clinician will work collaboratively with staff to provide team-based coordinated care. We are looking for candidates for our Parham/West End and Mechanicsville locations.

Functions:

• Possess strong clinical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Provide outpatient counseling to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families; Outpatient services can be provided in an individual and or group basis; prefer someone with couple's experience.
• Refer and link clients with additional services and or community resources when clinically indicated.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation congruent with organization guidelines, best practice standards of his/her profession and managed care standard.
• Self-motivated, detail oriented.
• Must have experience with electronic medical records.
• Maintain acceptable standards of professional practice.
• Quality Assurance: Complete all administrative tasks on time and within practice specifications.
• Maintain case records in accordance with practice requirements.
• Organize time to meet work obligations.
• Attend monthly case consultations and team meetings.
• Attend trainings as needed in area of specialty or required by practice.
• Complete CEU's as required by the Board of Social Work.
• Abide by federal, State, and local standards, as well as, abide by the highest ethical standards as listed in individual clinician's licensure ethical codes
• Complete various special projects, which may require reviewing and analyzing information, identifying problems, recommending solutions, and writing reports.
• Ensure quality program management through compliance with federal, state and local regulations.

Licensed Clinician Skills and Qualifications

A Licensed Clinician is a professional with a mental health background who uses their industry knowledge, soft skills and technical abilities to handle the day-to-day elements of client care. These skills and abilities include:

• Proficient use of computer technologies such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proficient in EMR/EHR System.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and balance multiple fluctuating priorities at once.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment when making decisions.
• Ability to work independently with willingness to take initiative in addressing concerns and issues for desired outcomes.

• Maintain strict confidentiality for all client and practice information, consistent with established security and confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations, at all times.
• Understanding of health and safety standards.
• Flexible in taking on new work assignments and working in new processes.

Licensed Clinician Education and Training Requirements:

• Licensed in the state of Virginia.
• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology.

Licensed Clinician Experience Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a clinical, behavioral health setting or medical/healthcare facility.
• Experience handling clients, their families and other caregivers.
