Job summary

The Children’s Home of Reading is seeking a Master Level Clinician to provide individual, family, and group therapy and crisis management, at our Reading, PA location. This full-time, exempt role requires strong clinical skills, compassionate approach, and commitment to client rights and confidentiality.

You will document in EHRs, coordinate with families and agencies, participate in treatment planning, and uphold our mission of helping individuals live meaningful, independent lives.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited university in a clinical health discipline.
  • Minimum age of 21.
  • At least three written references that demonstrate past educational and/or employment experience.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
  • Two years of verifiable experience in the mental health field (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-person assessments, provide individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and essential behavioral management services.
  • Utilize theoretical knowledge to develop treatment plans and implement interventions in real time with clients.
  • Understand crisis situations and triggers; assist in managing challenging behaviors and de-escalating conflicts.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date written and electronic health records (EHR) in accordance with program policies and professional standards of care.
  • Act as liaison between the program and family/community agencies, including parents/caregivers, case managers, county social workers, teachers/education providers, and probation officers.
  • Serve as client advocate, promote a culture of compassion, and maintain client rights and confidentiality.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and demonstrate professionalism (commitment to social learning, social responsibility, non-violence, growth and change).
  • Support and adhere to agency’s mission, goals, and objectives.
