Job summary

Pittsburgh Mercy, a community-based health and human services organization, seeks a part-time role providing direct and indirect services for adults with mental illness in a 16-bed unit on the South Side.

The position involves collaborating with the treatment team, ensuring safety and proper shift documentation, and helping residents transition back to the community after hospitalization. This is a non-exempt hourly role with a weekend schedule; benefits start Day 1 of employment.

Qualifications

• Master Degree in Human Services and 1 year of applicable experience or Bachelor's Degree in Human Services related field with 3 years of applicable experience.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to drive an organization vehicle.
• Act 33/34/73 Clearances required.
• Pre-employment drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect services for mentally ill and dual-diagnosed adults, including safety checks and crisis de-escalation.
• Work as an integral member of the Treatment Team, collaborating with unit supervisors and others.
• Help persons served with severe persistent mental illness maintain safety and stability during stay in a residential facility.
• Support a 16-bed unit in South Side Pittsburgh that connects adults with mental illness back to the community after hospitalization.

• 15 work week Saturday and Sunday 8a-4p or 4p-12a
• Hours may vary according to program need

About The Role
